To celebrate the Knit for Wildlife project that highlights the naturally and culturally significant eider duck in the Vega islands, we have made a batch inspired by the eider duck down in our «bird series yarn». The local name for the eider duck is Ea. The wool is sourced from the Helgeland region, and is 100% locally made. We have used naturally colored C1 wool, no dye.

This is our medium 2-ply, which is a loosely plyed yarn – very soft and gentle on your skin. We use this in our North Nerwegian Tee, and also Fjellvotten (The mountain mitten). The skeins are 50 grams and 130 meter. (142 yards / DK Light Worsted).
